If there's hints/foreshadowing I feel like this is fine? Or if there are scenes that, once you know the truth, get a new meaning. Personally I'd love to receive that.

+1 I would also be happy to get this as my main gift. If it was tagged accurately, I'd know my requested characters would be showing up eventually and thus would not be worried about their apparent absence at the beginning.
