I'm neither bored nor someone who cares about barbie, specifically. I didn't offer this. it's just incredibly disingenuous to pretend that barbie was in the feminism movie while ken somehow wasn't, and requesting the kens making out won't get you feminism101 fic, but requesting the barbies making out somehow will.

That's pretty bad faith.

Barbie was a really fun movie that was cheerfully, intensely, ABOUT FEMINISM. So it's reasonable to presume that writers might want to continue referring to and exploring the themes of the movie. And it's fine to decide you don't want that in your gift fic, and therefore sensibly decline to request it.
