I know I've bitched about this on here before but once someone ruined my Christmas by saying something nasty about my fic in the vent thread on FFA (not the YT one, which I was avoiding) that a) started a whole pile-on of people who didn't even know the fandom and b) wasn't even accurate, and I'm sure it was because my fic was top by kudos at the time.

That really sucks. :( I luckily wasn't bothered by it, mostly because the idea that I was masterminding my feedback somehow was very funny to me.

Thanks, it was a very frustrating day especially because I didn’t want to deanon myself and get into the argument, but wasn’t doing a very good job at ignoring it either.

But honestly who pays enough attention to notice guest kudos and suspect “cheating”??

lol in that situation I would actually use a bunch of proxies and add fake kudos to my fic just to annoy them more
