This! I get that the person was really saying “unlike you guys I have actually had anal” but the topic of realism in fanfic sex has been dooooone (might as well link to Minotaur’s guide at this point) and does not need to be bolstered with references to whatever the person has done in their real life. Just state preferences and go (I also don’t need to know what led to them finding their kinks hot).

I don't think it was a huge faux pas, just a bit awkward. But some coalies not liking it doesn't justify the OOT amounts of rage and accusations of homophobia.
