I don't know, they seem to be into everybody lives AUs. And even failing that, I think you could write Caleb/Nathan within the context of the movie (and hit their smart characters and working relationships likes), although I admit it would take a bit of handwaving of the timeline to get it to fit and have the rest of the movies canon events still happen.

I kind of got the impression that they know Nathan is a villain and would like whoever is writing for them to dig him out of his villain hole, which I wouldn't want to write but is a pretty common request for antagonists. Though I also got the impression that they would be happy to dump all the fandoms entirely and get Oscar Isaac RPF, so ymmv. :)
