Ooooooh my god the fact that there are only 2 PH remaining makes me even more neurotically obsessive than when there were still 5-9 because we are SO CLOSE YET NOT ANY CLOSER to getting requests released.

One year I was an EPH and got 4 fics and they were good, but then later one of the authors deleted their fic. So it was my favourite experience at the time, but then had a less happy epilogue.

Most of my Yuletide gifts have been pretty good to great, but one year I got a story for a beloved old canon of mine that had nothing written for it, and it was so perfect, I stopped requesting the canon. I would still love to read stories written for it if other people request it, but I know that I can't because it wouldn't be fair to my writer since I'd be comparing anything I got to that gift. Honestly, what I'd wish for is that I could have that same experience of pulling up that story and seeing everything I wanted, given to me, because it was the best feeling.
