FFA has always been full of threads like that. One of the main threads is called "Vents, Brats, TYWAU". It's not off topic or unusual to be bratty about annoying exchange participants.

You're talking as if people planned to complain every time fishspeakers posts. Perhaps there is one FFA troll doing that, but I don't think they're here. I vented a couple of times. Other anons vented in different moments. She's annoying to multiple people, so there are multiple vents. It's not the fixation you think it is.
I'm sure that if she stops posting personal venting on Discord, the anon vents will eventually stop too.

How does that make her not new to exchange culture, which is what everyone is pissed about? Endlessly going "Oh no what if my recip doesn't like my fic" in a public space is a newbie exchange mistake. "I'm gonna try something dodgy to get this fic done" is something you probably shouldn't say about an exchange fic, but no one would care if you do drugs and write fic for yourself. Oversharing insecurely about yourself in an off-topic server is, again, failing to understand the norms of the space because you're new to it.

The awesome: I offered this fandom that I know well and used to be active in and got an assignment I like featuring a pairing I used to ship ages ago and am having a ton of fun writing this fic.

The WTF just happened: I started canon review... and then canon reviewed again and again and again... and have fallen in love with the ship and the fandom all over again. Which is great... but I am now hyperfixated on the fandom to the exclusion of all else... and am now wasting time looking for merch on Ebay and wishing I'd requested this fandom myself instead of just offering!
