You can't explicitly request Original Characters but for the fandoms where I care about this, worldbuilding is an adequate compromise tbh.

I've written someone's OC before in a game fandom where there's some PC customization, for Yuletide. It was a little nerve-wracking, but they had a lot of info linked to their letter and made it clear they weren't expecting it.

Honestly, if you were cool with the OC being absolutely shit on and kept firmly in the background, I wouldn't mind givng your cerulean orb'd dumbass a cameo in a fic.

I always need murder victims for canon characters to investigate, or annoying nosy neighbours to evade, or an idiot relative who decided to have a last minute destination wedding on zombie island, etc...

A custom game OC is probably some flavour of Chosen One tho, so nah.
