The Thing - This person is basically giving carte blanche to put The Thing into the canon of my choice, and that is extremely tempting. I might try this one.
Pitch Black - I love the smut likes and the worldbuilding prompts for this canon, and how many of the canon's horror elements they specifically mention positively in their request. I'm especially intrigued by their Riddick/OC suggestion. I might treat this one if I have time.
Sweetheart - I love the idea of other scary critters (possibly mermaids) coming to Jennifer's aid and maybe seducing her. I wasn't expecting much from this request, because I didn't see much scope for fic in the movie, but these details have moved it up my list quite a bit.
Jaws - Fun missing scenes/fill in the blanks prompts, and I appreciate their enthusiasm. If I was more into the movie itself, I’d consider treating.
A Quiet Place - I was kind of eye-rolling at the one line of extremely adamant DNW in their AO3 signup, but I see in their letter that they're a newbie, aw. They’re charmingly excited about their fandoms, and though their request is short, they give me a good idea of what elements of canon they'd like more of.
The Perfection - This is a great request, with lots of fun prompts with a lot of variety. I'm only ranking it so low because I have tried to write this canon before and have some kind of mental block about it. I would definitely read someone else's takes on these, though.
Ginger Snaps - I don't find "what if" prompts very inspiring in general, and I've only seen the first movie, so half of these aren't useful to me. I wish the person had some general likes or a bit about what they like about the canon. They seem enthusiastic, though! Fine as an assignment (and I’d watch the second movie in that case), but I wouldn't treat.
The Awakening - If anyone's super into voyeurism, then they should check this request out. I can't say it's a part of the movie that stuck out for me personally, though. I really liked the ghost story and the stories about trauma, and there's not much here for me to work with.
Re-Animator - LOL a completely blank signup. If I had a random Re-Animator idea that I really wanted to post for Yuletide, I might gift it to this person. Probably not, though. Their username is videodrome, so at least I wouldn’t have any qualms about giving them body horror…
Revenge - My entire interest in this movie was the setting, survival horror, and gore, and this person only wants post-canon "now that we're back in civilization" stuff. Not my thing.
The Endless - I'm not interested in Hal, and this request is not giving me a reason to start.
X - DNWs only. LOL nope.
The Haunting (1999). Requests "any" but only mentions one of them (and one un-nominated character) in their letter. I guess the others fall under the heading of "women to give agency to"? Pass.
