Here's the thing: you, as an individual participant, decided *at the point you signed up* that you would write for your assigned writer.

If you don't want to risk contamination by someone morally impure, don't agree to a random assignment. That's what I'm judging you for.

You should stop doing exchanges if you don't get the rules.

The rules say default promptly if you want to for whatever reason!

It's ok if you decide you only want to do exchanges where all participants are pre-vetted for moral purity! I support you!

I just said the same thing elsewhere in this thread and that's exactly what it boils down to for me.

If you're only willing to write for people you think are good people, then you shouldn't do an event like Yuletide where you're at least as likely to fundamentally disagree with your recip on ethics as you are to find a kindred spirit.

People aren’t made of tissue paper. You can think your recip is a shitty little asshole with the moral sense of a tic, wish you’d gotten matched to a less shitty recip, have no problem judging and complaining about their shitty little asshole behavior, and still craft a gift that meets the minimum requirements while not feeling ~~~morally contaminated by proximity. People working alongside you aren’t obligated to act like they like your stench.
