What your nom list look like?

Every year I made a google spreadsheet of all the fandoms I want to nominate, along with whatever extra small fandoms I can think of that I might want to request or write for. So far it's almost entirely podcasts, which will make canon review easier as I can listen on my commute, ha!

Have you all started making lists yet? And do you have any more fiction podcast recs??

I think I might nom some AO3 original works (whose authors are fanfic-ok.) But I don't have enough for all my slots. Anybody know of any good fanfic-welcome non-wanky-writer OWs I should read before noms?

Not sure I'd bother in Yuletide. You have to make a case for each one.

+1

This is literally the last exchange I'd request original AO3 works. Is it that you just want a free canon to get people into? You don't seem to have any genre, plot, anything else for requirements? Try music videos or commercials maybe - there are usually a few that take off each year.

It's that I currently have a couple of original AO3 works that I really wildly want fanfic for and know the authors like fic? And I have a thing for Matched Sets.

My requirement is that it gets me in a way that makes me want fic for it. The ones I'm currently going to nominate may include fluffy romance, monsterfucker porn, and/or an adventure story.

Coalie, ridiculously tiny weirdo fandoms you have to make a case for is what Yuletide is *for*

Maybe check the tagset for the Recursive Exchange? I think all authors nominated/requested had to give permission first.

imo there are no good AO3 original works but the fact you had to specifically ask for chill authors TWICE makes me want to bulldoze into the scene and kick up some drama with the worst of em

nonny I'm not sure what you're referring to here, I am not worried about author OKs because I fear a wanksplosion, I'm worried about not being an asshole to people who created free stories I liked just for fun.

That said there are some legendarily wanky AO3 OW writers (see currently: the deadcat saga) and no I will not be nomming them

Look at OW for the Triple Crown exchanges. 10k minimum means it's usually pretty meaty, OW was written a lot, and you can focus in on what genre you like.

I may be nominating some songs, as there are a lot I'd love fic for and they're easy fandoms to pick up.
