The author’s note at the end made it worse, I think, than the tags?

Everything about that is cringe but I enjoy how this loser told on themselves so readily, like they really had to remove all doubt that this fic is a low-effort mess and also they don't know how clocks work. jfc say less if you're doing your worst!

Especially off-putting since the mods did a post explicitly saying not to use author notes to be negative or apologetic about your own fic!

I looked at it because of this comment, and yeah, I'd be so disappointed if I received a fic as a gift tagged like that. For the love of god, people, do not tell your recips in author notes OR tags that your fic sucks or is OOC or you didn't review canon or whatever.

I don't think I could bear to read a fic tagged and noted this way even if it were my gift. If you're going to act like what you wrote is shameful and horrible, my first instinct is to spare you the embarrassment of my acknowledging it.

I usually don't read dubcon or noncon but the Dune fic was GREAT.

I don't know the other fandoms.
