My favorite part of any exchange, though I think it comes out the most in Yuletide, is the potential. Getting my assignment and having all the time to think about what I'm going to write. Going through requests and picking out things I'd like to maybe treat. Knowing I'm going to get a gift and it might be wonderful.

Sometimes the experience doesn't live up to that potential, but sometimes it does. The times that it does makes it all worth it.
