Overall, the most fun for me is when the tag set is revealed. That's when I start making lists of which fandoms I want to request or offer, start my letter, and letters start popping up. The hunting through fandoms, letters, and requests, organizing them into spreadsheets, copying letters I like into documents so I can start braining-storming fics, is all very nerdy and exciting for me.

I enjoy when the archive opens and comments come in more, but that also comes with some stress as I worry about whether my recips like their gifts (and ratios and the like), so it's not the unadulterated enjoyment of the preptime.
