Yuletide becomes a genuine Secret Santa gift exchange.

No nominations. No requests. No offers. You are randomly matched with another participant, who you then have to write a fic for.

This for sure would be wanky for Yuletide, but I think this could be a fun separate exchange! Some of us are pretty adventurous in our reading/writing so it wouldn't be a detriment.

I keep wanting an April Fool's exchange where a) you are matched completely randomly and b) the aim is to hit as many of your recip's listed DNWs as possible while still being ODAO.

The recip is expected to leave the most passive-aggressive comment they can.

(obviously, the recips would know what was going on and tailor their ODAOs/likes to get a fic they can actually read.)

That would be up to them, I guess! I suppose you would have the option of either filling your DNWs with stuff you'd like but wouldn't dare request outright, or just playing the opposite game, or actually trying to get the worst gift you possibly can.
