Not even a little bit. I'm a multishipper who would also love gen about any combination of characters I gave shippy prompts for - seeing someone else who's the same way, even if they happen to be the same way about my NOTP, wouldn't throw me at all, and I'd take them at their word and treat them with gen.

(I would probably be extra careful to make sure there wasn't anything in the treat that might accidentally come across as, like, "look at these characters being PLATONIC together, their relationship is SO PLATONIC, they would never even THINK about fucking each other" - I might not ship it, but I wouldn't want the recip to feel like I was pointedly emphasizing shiplessness because their ship sucks.)
