Dude, I'm not paranoid (I have a VPN, incidentally). It's just fucking weird to me, as in it's not my experience with anon comms (unless there's a persistent troll around, and then IP logging is only turned for a brief period). It seems like micromanaging.

Micromanaging is the most concise way to describe what I don't like about FFA. Their weird thing against bodily fluids is especially ridiculous.

One of the things I like about ffa is that I'm not likely to come across anything particularly appalling in terms of trolling - if a troll hits, it's cleared up pretty quickly.

I am sometimes a filthy bimemer, but there have been periods where I've had to completely avoid lol_meme because I found it too unpleasant - there was a lot of "kill yourself" and "you sound fat" at one point, for example.

Uh, the bodily fluids rule? How does it help with anything? The problem with the spamming is that they're... you know... spamming. Saying "you can't talk about poop" is pretty useless.

They still have plenty of persistent trolling, only now it focuses on other topics, and normal anon bodily fluids talk has been banished to the cornfield personal post. Troll 1-FFA 0.

I don't think ip logging has really helped with the persistent trolls, yet they leave it on.

There are some known TERF trolls and MRA trolls that the mods can shut down faster because their IPs pop up. It's anon and some people get the benefit of the doubt but known bad actors get frozen before they can stink up the place again.

And I for one am all for it.
