The Coalies Are Back In Town

Friday night they'll be dressed to kill
Down at Coaltide Bar'n'Grill
The receipts will flow and wank will spill
And if the coalies wanna fight, you better let 'em
That jukebox in the corner blastin' out my favorite song
The nights are getting longer, it won't be long
Won't be long 'til Yuletide comes
Now that the coalies are here again

I wonder about this too. Mods will let in a movie that’s in theaters in one country but not others, but what if a high quality/bluray has leaked online and has been out for weeks/months despite the official date still being far out/it technically still being on the festival circuit? Presumably only people who have seen it will request/offer so what is the harm?

I mean regardless of personal feelings presumably they don't want to go on the record as actively encouraging illegal piracy?

It doesn't have to be about piracy. If a movie has been shown at multiple festivals, isn't that like them accepting a specific production of a play, which also has a lot of access limitations?

cyrt - yeah, if it's had even a limited "public" release, that does seem like it ought to be allowed, since they allow live theater that was never recorded.

If it's available in bootlegs only though, probably not.

Lol like Yuletide is a very serious institution.
