Like several others, I found coal first. I think because someone complained about it in chat? Or the official com? Back in the first year, when people were "think of the children!"-ing over coal.

I've visited FFA occasionally during the year when Coal isn't around, but I find that it moves so quickly that everyone's moved on to the next post 2 seconds into a conversaion, or before answering a question.

Same, and I vaguely remember seeing it mentioned on the lj comm, going to check it out and immediately being all I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE.

Although what I think a lot of people have forgotten is that there were actually two competing yuletide anon comms to begin with. One was _coal, and the other was like.... yt_anon maybe? But _coal won, obviously.

Yeah, like it had the opposite effect they wanted. They were like, 'look at those horrible people' and I was like, 'oh, that's where I want to be. Those are my trash people.'

I do vaguely recall that second comm!

Saaaame. I was so happy to find a place to bitch about all the passive-aggression. I've lurked _coal ever since, even though I haven't actually done Yuletide in 7 years.
