Unrelatedly, if anyone ever wanted fic for any of the indie games that were in the giant itch.io racial justice bundle last year, you should nominate. And then mention that it's in the bundle on all the noms posts. I know I'm not the only yuletider who bought it and is still desperate for a way to prioritize.

Thinking about Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell. I’m also recently obsessed with Cat Sebastian’s Turners series but unsure if I would request it.

I'm definitely nomming The Young Offenders this year, because I skipped it last year and then regretted it. For the unfamiliar, think Derry Girls but set in Cork and with two dumb boys as main characters!

I just saw the 2018 Halloween movie, which rocked, and now I really want fic about the three generations of Strode women. So maybe that!

I nominated it for trick or treat! Sadly no takers on requests, though, it doesn't look like.

The only thing I knew I wanted to nominate somehow sneaked over the thousand complete English 1k+ word fic in the last couple of months without me noticing. >:(

probably the new Cat Sebastian series (Cabots, set in post-McCarthy US) -- I really liked the couple in the first book, and it was super short so there's a lot of room for expansion.

I'm a little torn for the rest. I would like to request the Chinese live action adaptation of Prince of Tennis, but I have unpopular ships and the English-speaking fandom is minuscule to begin with so the odds of anybody wanting to write what I want to read are not good. and it's not a "oh let me just pimp this" fandom -- it's a long TV show and it's honestly not very good if you don't already love sports anime tropes. so maybe I'll stick with books this year \o/

Nah jk, but the nomination period is prime time for some of my worst dipshit ideas and I cannot wait for noms to close lmao. Got that T-Rex vision where any ol' bullshit twitter pushes into my line of sight just gets chased down, jumped on, snapped up, and turned over looking for Yuletide potential. I try to reign myself in, but I've been in lockdown for so long now that the boredom has burned a hole in my resolve.
