I know getting people to actually read through directions is tough, but Morbane needs to make the part where you only need evidence for fandoms that are borderline and/or confusing in bigger font, because invariably there's someone arguing for a normal, eligible fandom going "it looks like it has 1300 fics, but really it's only 639 if you apply filters!"

A lot of them are the same fandom but just more characters. And if they’re this dedicated to socking in their noms, I wouldn’t be shocked if they socked it up for sign ups, too.

I disagree. I find fanfics-of-fanfics charming as a concept and I don't see the harm in letting those subfandoms in on principle. I wouldn't let HP fic in because of the worldbuilding involved, but I think where the fic is set in the normal world and no characters from the original canon are nominated/appear in the fic, it should be allowed.

I admire that, tbh. It can't be proven they socked up, and anyone else who's interested in those fandoms knows those things have been nominated. But I bet the mods will be keeping a close eye on requests and offers for those fandoms in case of a sock chain.

What are the things you don't have a spare slot for, but you'll be shocked or disappointed if they aren't in the tag set?

Yeah, I love their moxie. Possibly awkward if the mods want clarification on any of those noms, because then the nominator has to show up and provide a link to their noms page, but even that's workable.

There’s honestly no way for mod to ever catch someone at socking tbh especially if they stick to their guns. Same IP + same email = my wife and I share an email. 15 accounts with the same = my poly commune and I....

I'm looking specifically at Confessions of Dorian Gray, but I'm interested in picking up anything new this year.

I’ve got 2/3 nominations locked for my main account. Trying to decide what I want for #3, or if I should sock it up and put in all of my maybes.
