This is Yuletide, everybody make a scene

I am the sock with the tear-away face
Low-effort with your gift and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who does an exchange without acknowledging their gift?"
I am the wanker blowing through your fics comments
I am the coalie dragging your letter at night
Filling your exchange to the brim with fright!

This is Coaltide!

Any belated realizations along these lines, coalies?

Yes, for a TV series. I felt so stupid when I realised I'd missed it!

Counterpart. I’m hoping someone else nominated it.

Hades, the 2018 game PC that just dropped on switch.

Someone else will surely have nominated it, though

The Third Day, I held off cos I thought it was heading for a Wicker Man knock-off, but it's much better than expected, and the 12 hour live episode was really good.

+1. The first three episodes were good, but that 12 hour live episode has me craving so much fic.

ayrt, I want fic about everyone, capturing that atmosphere and the whole ppervasive creepiness, it's like even after all that screen time there's a thousand stories to be told

the 12 hour live episode

The what. What kind of canon is this??

Re: I Should Have Nominated That

It's a tv series done in 3 sections. Part one was a 3 ep mini series starting Jude Law, then on Saturday there was the twelve hour live performance which was to explore the world more and bridge the gap to part 3; another 3 ep series starring Naomie Harris, with the whole thing set on the same creepy island.

The live ep was done by punchdrunk, which is a theatre company who specialise in immersive productions, I was really sceptical how they'd pull it off, but it turned out great. It's a joint Sky/HBO production, and I think it was kind of amazing that they took on the risk of a single camera, single take, live outside production. Though I felt bad for Jude Law at times, cos they couldn't have predicted how bad the wrather would be and he must have been miserable

Wow, Jude Law was actually in that 12-hour ep? It doesn't look like it's available for download anywhere; can you watch the series even if you skip that episode? I'd be curious to check it out, but not if I'm going to miss a big chunk of it.

"the 12 hour live episode"

...The what? I just downloaded the first episode and was planning on watching more soon, but now I'm really confused.

Anyone planning on requesting The Cat in the Hat (2003 film)/How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000 film) smut this year? I have a sudden mighty need.

Xenophon in whatever fitting historical rpf framing. Ah well. If I did, I would have to cut something else out as potential request, and there is next year anyways (and more time to do research).

I had assumed Sonic the movie was too big, I took a look and it still qualifies :( I should have nominated it, very few of the Robotnik/Stone fic is to my taste.

Nothing yet, but I tend to find something in IFComp every year. Why oh why must you open after noms are closed?
