I don't understand why, if getting a Yuletide gift was that important to them and warranted this kind of drama, they didn't check the sign up close time and make sure they had it right. Or use the countdown clock. Or pay attention to any of the dozen times someone on the Yuletide server mentioned "signups closing in X amount of time" over the last couple of days.

I also love the other person pointedly asking what made them late.

I mean, I get it. If you think you know when something ends or closes, you don't keep checking, because why would you? You already know. You don't know you're wrong. And if they'd built this up in their head, then the disappointment can be hard to take.

But they've now turned multiple conversations in multiple channels to this topic and yeah, it's not healthy.

They missed sign ups because they assumed they'd have Monday to work on it. Once they realized, they made a sad comment about it on the EAD Discord. No big deal, it happens.

Then they made sad comments about on the Yuletide Discord. Then they proceeded to keep making sad comments about it periodically on both Discord servers through to today-lamenting how disappointed they are, panicking about nabbing a PH so they can prompt for their own gift, worrying that no other exchanges are running that they can ask for their fandoms in, etc.

They seem to have finally taken a hint and have stopped for the time being.

Missed sign-ups (they'd apparently set aside all Monday to work on their sign-up), vented at great length in chat in increasingly off-topic ways, and also vented about the uncertainty of claiming a pinch hit to get a possible treat.

Welp, after that lil performance it doesn't matter if they get a PH or not. Treaters will be tripping over themselves to avoid them.
