What do you do when your recipient has already written the two ideas you had for this fandom and pairing?

I hope they update their placeholder letter soon with prompts they want, otherwise they're getting generic strip gambling porn.

Honestly, one of my requests comes close to something I've already written but I wrote it because I was thirsty as hell for that content and no one else was producing it. Sheer desperation. If I get the content again without the sweat of writing it myself, all the better, even if it hits many of the beats I've already done! (Also, even though I don't have an issue with reading my own work, sometimes even temporarily able to disassociate and pretend someone else wrote it for a bit, which comes from sheer practice of having some ships-of-one in the past, a lot of people can't do that, and even when you can, something that came from someone else's head just hits differently--IMO, better--when you read it.)

You never know, this could be a more cakes thing! I've actually written and read/bookmarked multiple fics matching one of my tropey prompts, and I still want more!
