I guess I have read forgettable things like that*, but in that case it's got nothing to do with how the sentences were constructed. It's about whether I cared about what was happening. So I probably just sound like a pedant, but I'm genuinely curious about what the sentences look like because no, I can't imagine what you're talking about.
(I'm not actually asking you to prove yourself by giving example sentences or anything, I'm just explaining where the disconnect is for me.)
