I know what you mean but if it's all about the characters from the requested canon who get put into a Hogwarts-type school setting AU, then it is a story about the characters from the requested canon. There's a reason I DNW AUs like this: they are common writing devices.
i got a string of really specific emails about my DNWs that makes me very scared it's going to be mine. I usually don't mind clarification emails, but some of the questions there were... VERY specific and very obviously fishing for permission for SOMETHING which I couldn't quite put my finger one. Coal, I'm afraid.
