I did vote in the most recent election here, voting for a center-right party I loathe in order to make sure that the extremist right party wouldn't win (they didn't, by a very very narrow margin, which made me feel slightly less nauseous about my vote). The necessity for tactical voting sucks ass.
Look, sometimes you just have to accept that things are happening that some people find disturbing and horrifying on a visceral level and they bring that into the spaces that sometimes bring them hope or joy or fun because they can't not.
