Morbane's coal

In quantum wankchanics, Morbane's coal is a thought experiment, sometimes described as a paradox, of quantum wankerposition. In the thought experiment, a hypothetical gift may be considered simultaneously both the fic of your dreams (TFOYD) and coal, while it is unread state, as a result of its fate being linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur.

The Coaltide interpretation implies that, after a while, the gift is simultaneously TFOYD and coal. Yet, when a coalie clicks on their gift, the coalie sees the gift either TFOYD or coal, not both TFOYD and coal. This poses the question of when exactly quantum wankerposition ends and reality resolves into one possibility or the other.

I wasn't familiar with the underlying fairytales for these, but they were so much fun to read!

East of the Sun and West of the Moon - I like the author's prose in describing the kingdom and the king. I definitely think that this was a hard one to read canon-blind because I was a bit confused about the who and what, but I always like femslash and enjoyed that!

The Boots of Buffalo Leather medley - This was a real fun one. I loved the blending of all these fairytales featuring a soldier visiting (or similar) and the voice was great. Nice use of humor and narrative. It felt very fun and fresh and I liked that I didn't really need to know the underlying fairytales to still find it funny and enjoy it.

The Boots of Buffalo Leather (not medley) - I really liked how this story progressed from light to serious. I think I probably needed to be more familiar with canon (and the main character's abilities), but it was still really enjoyable. I love the blossoming romance, the bits of angst and guilt.
