Morbane's coal

In quantum wankchanics, Morbane's coal is a thought experiment, sometimes described as a paradox, of quantum wankerposition. In the thought experiment, a hypothetical gift may be considered simultaneously both the fic of your dreams (TFOYD) and coal, while it is unread state, as a result of its fate being linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur.

The Coaltide interpretation implies that, after a while, the gift is simultaneously TFOYD and coal. Yet, when a coalie clicks on their gift, the coalie sees the gift either TFOYD or coal, not both TFOYD and coal. This poses the question of when exactly quantum wankerposition ends and reality resolves into one possibility or the other.

I really hope my writers aren't insecure enough to think I hated it because I'm late. Three day migraine and I can tell I will love them but have no love to give like this and don't want to fake enthusiasm while I hate the world.

I used to leave placeholders but so many people told me it was evil that I stopped.

Like many things, there's no universal recipe for success, it comes down to personal preference. Not every recip will give you an indication what they prefer, but plenty of them will.

It's tricky because in the movie canon, Gomez and Morticia have committed mass murder (cf the scene about their honeymoon), and murder or murder threats played for laughs is all through the canon. It'd take a light touch to get the Addams Family dark humor right and I got bored a few paragraphs into this story so I don't know how they handled it.

I really enjoyed this script-format Arcadia future-fic, which nailed the style and tone of the play, and all the character voices/characterization, and just made me feel all the feels. Warning for plot precipitated by major character death (which is handled in keeping with the mechanics of the play, which is to say: the dead character gets just as much screen time as the any of those still among the living). Love everyone here.

Only 2 of their 4 fandoms have any fics in the archive, and all of those still have recip names attached, including the one for this recip. Nothing is floating around with no recip name. So either it is that fic and they haven't rejected it, or the fic in question was removed entirely.

#1 - 11 over 4 fandoms! I'm surprised that the nostalgia/post-FFN re-qualified fandom didn't get more numerically, but the wordcount in it was really high and the fics were good! The others were all > 1 too, which impressed me given that one of them was pretty out there. Who are you, fellow writers???

#2 - 8 over 6 fandoms, with a surprise 0 on a Yuletide perennial book that I am v sad I don't have extra cakes to eat. I'm also sad that the historical bait I laid didn't get any nibbles :< But the fics that did come to pass are pretty good quality so can't complain.
