Opt out, but also I wouldn't write this, because other people being high when you are not is only interesting to them.

I would say just characters getting high or canon-typical levels of drug use are opt-out. I probably wouldn't do, like, a hard-hitting drug addiction storyline without the prompter actively opting in. (Unless the canon was something like The Wire or The Sopranos or something where it felt like it would fit in as a very canon-typical plotline.)

I figured as much. Not like the MDZS case.

I do not know annnnnnnny of Slumber's fandoms, but they concisely explain what they like about the canons and offer a series of brief, distinct story prompts for each request. They seem flexible and chill. Good sign-up!

canon drug use wouldn't be a problem, but it kinda sounds like the characters getting high would be ooc

I honestly don't think the three kidnappers count as villains to begin with and Jason is canonically semi-friendly with them and has been giving them advice how to be less failboat kidnappers. They're much more likely to get into trouble and require Jason to save them from actual villains than they would realistically end up in a situation where Jason has to save one from the others.

I'd probably not write them very shippy shipfic without confirming because the prompt is incredibly vague, but it wouldn't be an unexpected request.

As a DC coalie who hasn't read WFA - is it worth it to read it at all? I'm not into fluffy canons all that much, and everything I've heard about it has sounded like it has removed every harsh aspect of the original comics.

I think if it's canonical, especially when it comes to the requested characters, then it's fair game unless the person explicitly opts out. Like, you don't have to opt in to cannibalism if you're requesting Hannibal.

There are quite a few f/f prompts for Deadloch (TV 2023).

Also some good prompts in the short Chinese GL web series category (The Vampires, Nv Er Hong, Legend of Yunze - perhaps a few others that I missed)

well, i bookmarked 26 requests. it's totally doable to treat all of these people, right?

It's very much a 'feel good' canon with the focus on the domestic and family life. The characters still deal with personal stuff, mental and interpersonal issues (like, the last episode had Luke and Lucius clashing over Luke's vigilante life), but it usually gets solved in an upbeat way or at least ends in a hopeful moment.

I enjoy it, but I don't mind more fluffy canons to balance out some of the darker ones, so YMMV.
