I thought the End Ao3 Racism group was only quoting Stitch - I didn't know Stitch actually ran it! /another POC coalie

The organisers identified themselves as a group including fans of color and allies. There is no proof Stitch was running it. Personally, I don't think they were. However, I think there's very strong evidence that some of the people running it are close friends with Stitch or heavily influenced by them.

There is evidence that convinces me, personally, that one of the people running EOTWR is Deepa/fiercynn (not the same as DeepaD from Racefail with the I Never Dreamed of Dragons essay). fiercynn posted some asks and other things that made it really seem like fiercynn was talking on behalf of the EOTWR organisers, and has generally been a very passionate proponent of EOTWR. fiercynn also spent a lot of the campaign, July onwards, getting into twitter fights about whether it was appropriate to criticise Stitch in conjunction with the campaign. Stitch made an approving post about EOTWR and also complained about people using their name as an excuse to avoid it.

Essentially, I think Stitch may have given their blessing for their works to be cited as part of the campaign, and other blessings - which is important considering the controversy when Dr Rukmini Pande was cited in an OTW post and Stitch and Pande protested on the basis that this led to harassment of Pande. However, I don't think they organized it. However, I wish that when critics of EOTWR had said "This stinks of Stitch, I want none," then, instead of saying "How dare you criticize Stitch," the organizers had simply stayed on message, ie, "We've found Stitch's work in this area useful. Here are our key messages and aims. Let's talk about our key messages and aims." The fact that they could not do that is not encouraging.

I doubt Stitch is running it, but she's certainly involved in there somewhere and I'm certain those who ARE running it are her little flying monkeys.

Anyway, UGH.

I think Stitch uses they pronouns, but I agree with this comment otherwise.
