Yes and no. I am in this boat.

However, my recipient, who was also my writer for the same auction, have basically made donations to the charity we were raising money for and shook hands on the fact that our fics would never be written, as we both suffered mental health crises at the same time, then the pandemic hit, and now there has been a bona fide tragedy in the fandom (real life, not fictional).

Thanks, coalie. I had always intended to go back and write the fic someday, as my recip is a lovely person, but now this thing has happened I doubt that they would welcome the fic, so it's best to just mourn, move on and let things be.
