All those frettings were _before_ the mod stepped in and clarified that "ask for whatever you want" means "ask for whatever you want". Other people changed their fandoms out of their own volition and that is what caused confusion, not because of anything the mod said.

I think the people who changed their comments inadvertently outed themselves as coalies.

The post is very clear that anything in the tagset is rare game. Nothing mentions factoring in other requesters, all that is said is that you can pick between listing everything you know vs only fandoms of your heart (but not enough to request officially). They brought coal insider knowledge and thought that someone else requesting meant it was off limits. If they hadn't edited their comments with those notes, I doubt anyone is confused or even having this conversation.

According to the mini-challenge mod, the wording on the post is very specific to include everything so my guess is the Yuletide mods explicitly gave the OK for all fandoms or made a condition of their approval for it allow all fandoms. It's really funny that this troll is trying to act like MTYG is out to get them when this post has mods blessing and it seems like MTYG went out of their way to allow in all fandoms or could have decided not to repost if they had a problem with all fandoms being allowed lmfao
