Someone contacted me through the mods, and I'm realizing only now how many of my DNWs clash with my prompts... *hangs head in shame.*

Possibly nitpicking question: the mods phrased it as "Another Yuletide participant has got in contact with us" -- does this mean it's not my author? Or are they just being discreet?

It's probably your author, but they vague it up as much as possible.

Two of my recip's DNW clash with the fandom we matched on and their prompt, but I didn't go to the mods with it. The DNW list is obviously copy-pasted between requests; I'm just assuming they don't apply there, otherwise the assignment wouldn't be doable.

But on the off-chance that you're my recip, it's possible a potential treater asked?

probably worth going to the mods about now just so the mods don't go to you when they check your fic. Even if it's common sense they probably have to enforce the dnws. Would suck to have your recip out to pinch hit at the deadline when you'd written them a good fic.

Dunno, but it's not relevant. Be glad you have the opportunity to reconcile your DNWs this early in the writing period, instead of being wanked about after reveals.

I think the mods are using "another" in opposition to you. They're saying, "Hello Yuletide participant, we have a question from your fellow Yuletide participant."

Possible it was a random passerby that noticed and asked the mods. Pre assignments I was looking at letters and came across one where all the requests were for unnominated characters. Letter seemed like a newbee. I dropped the mods an anon note, and I'm assuming the mods contacted them, as the letter changed.
