Oh, this is that asshole who openly admits to only being halfway through Nirvana in Fire. Fuck them. This is not the kind of show where that works, they're putting the writer in a really awkward spot. Requesting a half finished canon is fine, but don't burden your author with it!

I think like a hallpass where you are given permission to “cheat” with certain people/within certain situations and not have it count as cheating.

I've seen "consensual infidelity"- when A/B is a couple, but one partner gives the other partner permission to go have sex with C, who may or may not know that A or B is in a relationship.

I was expecting something more like that lingering pinch hit where the poor person likes ex-Yu stuff and is clearly wary about people who don't get their culture. Instead, we have this.

I think this DNW should have been put in a couple of these fandom sections with specifics about what might be a problem. The first one sounds like it has potential for clueless writing in a way this recip might notice, but the rest? One of them isn't even set in the real world, one is set a long-ass time ago, one's set in an alternate earth, and the RPF they say they know next to nothing about. They'd have been better off with a request for no US-flavor AUs or something about how much they like the culture and setting of canon.

To be fair, I can totally understand why they want their author to get a Genthen sensitive reader. Unisex people are so gross and weird about kemmer. I mean, did you read those excerpts from the first Envoy's journal that got published a while back? And that was a trained diplomat!
