I'm sorry, nonnie. I feel the same way as you do about litfic and don't enjoy it when it imitates the style of canon, and my solution is to never request or offer any book fandoms where the authors have a recognizable style or to change my requests to live action adaptations whenever possible.

I would never want 1st POV and people get so upset about it that I never would request a book that was written that way. WNAU but generally all the wank and handwringing in anon and namespaces are coming from lit fandom. They’re usually really rigid on that stuff and the fic isn’t to my taste so nothing of value is lost.

Heck, I hate 1st POV so much that I rarely read anything in it that isn’t a straight up memoir. In fiction it must makes me cranky.
