We’re coming up fast on 1000 sign-ups! To give you a little more time to get your sign-up in, we’ve decided to extend sign-ups by 12 hours: the deadline has been changed from Saturday, October 23, 9am UTC to Saturday, October 23, 9pm UTC.

It's not like matching takes all that much time anymore. But maybe they didn't want to compromise when assignments went out/the writing period?

They probably mean trialia, who is nearly incapable of doing anything on time, ever, no matter how much warning she has and how aware she is of it. I don't feel like I've heard as much about/from her in the last few years, though. Did she ever make the move over to discord?

I selfishly hate this. The previous time was perfect for me, now I'll be busy and won't be able to obsessively stalk the summary for horrible last minute sign ups to avoid. :(

Hm, I might actually sign up then! I didn't have the energy to do it in the middle of the work week (what do you mean I could have signed up last weekend and not wait until the last minute), Saturday is more doable.
