Oh wow, the signup period was way longer last year! This year's is only 8 days. I assumed that was one of the aspects of the schedule that was fairly static. I bet that alone will cause at least a slight drop in numbers.

It's why I'm hoping we have info for 2019- I think the signup period was more similar to this year's than last year's. (And 2020 did have a small bump of participants compared to 2019.)

I feel like the mods have made the timing of Yuletide being more consistent a priority over the years. One of the first years I participated was the year after assignments had gone out crazy late, like in late November maybe almost December, and it was wild to see the differences.
