First off, thank you so much coalie!
Second of all, "letter that directly references other fic they have received for the same prompt previously" - oh, wait, is the frowned upon? Obviously, *THIS* is the best fic in the fandom is ...a lot to deal with, but I've mentioned in passing that I've gotten previous fic I enjoyed in this fandom, particularly if I'm re-using a prompt/fandom, as a courtesy to my previous authors and because I *did* like those previous gifts. Is that something to remove?

Personally, I think notes like "I have gotten fic for this prompt before but I'm always open to more" are fine if you want to reassure people, directly linking or mentioning a specific fic kinda makes it seem like you're setting a standard of what you expect to get.

My absolute favourite is the person who wrote "to see examples of the kind of fic I like, check out *my* fic". I wish I was even half as confident as they are.
