Can you still do that with offers? Where you offer the same thing twice with different characters? I feel like that did work on AO3? (It hasn't really come up as much since they started splitting the anthology fandoms.)

AO3 does have that functionality, but there's no way to use that feature and be sure that everyone is offering the required minimum number of fandoms unless mods manually go through and check. Otherwise I could just offer Calvin and Hobbes four times. For smaller exchanges this is feasible, but not for Yuletide.

Yep, this. I do it with manual checking in a much smaller exchange, and it’s fiddly but doable, even given the need to contact people who misunderstood how it works and wait for them to get back to me. Yuletide is already very time-intensive to run, and this would make it more so.
