Temperatures are estimated to fluctuate between active panic and total apathy into the next weekend. Main assignments will have a minimum temperature of regret and a complete climate change once editing is complete. One is a horrible first date, one is a road trip, one is five things about names, one is detectives investigating love and one is therapy via body horror. None of them should be more than 2k, so it's not impossible I will finish all of them by Christmas.

I'm still hopeful I will write either of the ideas I have started. One is a mythology fic, with slow burn, marriages and alliances, while the other is based on a comic and I have an idea involving patriotic leotards. Both would be pretty long, but perhaps one will get written.

m/m friends-with-benefits-to-lovers fic. I've got the first sex scene ready to go as a pwp treat if i can't finish the rest of it, but i'd like to

I want to write an f/f + worldbuilding/character study treat for a dark and complex canon, but increasingly feeling like it might be too complex for my skill level to tackle, and especially in a week. But that prompt won't let me go...

1. Fun, flirty, but maybe no kissing f/f (by request, not me being mean)
2. Getting together f/f
3. Boys being maybe a LITTLE less stupid about feelings
4. M/F book ship nobody seems to like as much as I do . . . UNTIL NOW.

If I a) get around to watching the new-ish adaption of a thing I love and b) liking it as much as I expect to:

1. At least one fic for the ship it sounds like was super well done
2. The super intriguing gen prompt

Grief and Mourning magical realism polyamory

Political intrigue of either the historical kind or the fantasy kind.

Maybe both...though not for the same story.

One is the meet-cute of m/f who never meet in canon. (Then they fuck.) 1K written so far (meet-cute established, then the scene just kind of...ends) and it will probably be 5K when/if finished.

Second is some sort of WAFFy m/m 1k fic involving two precocious teens. I still need to do some canon review before I start writing, though. *checks watch bemusedly*

Coal, I have made a mistake. This plotty treat is finally getting close to being done, and only now am I realizing how thin my plans are for the climax. I know how it resolves, but I don't really have the building tension that will make a resolution satisfying. Right now as conceptualized, it's basically the Twilight ending: there's some heated conversation, and then everything is fine.
