coaltide | COALTIDE Episode IV: A New Hope

It is a period of indecision.
Gaming gone right for some,
coalies successfully snagging
the assignment they wanted,
the first major hurdle against
Yuletide odds is a victory.

However for those not as lucky
to have gotten the recipient they
wanted, coalies can't help but
think about the hidden requests,
missed bullet and gem alike,
they now have to wait months
to get access to.

Haunted by these assignments that
could have been, or perhaps
mourning the gaming attempt that
went awry, coalies tell themselves
that they will get started on their
assignment right away so that they can
treat to their hearts content and
restore happiness to the Yuletide galaxy....

Myrtle - I like how they make it clear up front that this is an OR request for PB or PC. I normally like a likes list, but their fandom section is so comprehensive that I'm totally fine with it not existing. I also really like their prompts for both characters, and the characters as a combination. I had never thought of shipping the two before but now I'm kind of intrigued. "Extreme kinks" is a vague DNW but I'm probably not writing porn for this fandom so it's not that big of a deal. I've bookmarked this for treats.

LearnedFoot - I find their letter slightly intimidating. Normally I read entire letters from front to back so I can get a better sense of my recip's overall id, but the sheer amount of information is a lot. That said, I love their prompts, their clarifications on what characters they like, their clarifications on their DNWs, all of it. Their letter is really clear and gives me loads to work with so I do like it a lot even if I find it a bit intimidating. I've bookmarked this for treats.

takamicchi - Asks for "Any" but doesn't give prompts for all the characters in the tagset. That said, video essayist Diane has grabbed my attention since I first read that prompt and I can't get the idea out of my head. I've bookmarked this for treats.

ThatScottishShipper - Prompts are kind of vague and don't inspire me, but we have loads of id overlap based on their likes. I'm considering pulling from their likes list and treating based off of that since I'm fairly confident I could write them a shipfic they'd enjoy.

punch_kicker15 - I like Todd a lot and a fic about him getting on with his family would be nice to read, but I'm not sure about my ability to write it since nothing's sparking for me. I probably won't treat.

krisherdown - Their PB/Bojack prompts don't speak to me, but their letter is fine. I could have written something if this was assigned to me but I probably won't treat.

DreamsofRomance - I don't ship Diane/Bojack and they don't give any gen outs, so this is a hard pass for me.

lizwontcry - Same as above but I'm ranking this one lower since Todd is also a required character. I like to give all of the requested characters equal screen time, and I find adding a platonic third character to a short ship fic very stressful.
