COALTIDE Episode IV: A New Hope
It is a period of indecision.
Gaming gone right for some,
coalies successfully snagging
the assignment they wanted,
the first major hurdle against
Yuletide odds is a victory.
However for those not as lucky
to have gotten the recipient they
wanted, coalies can't help but
think about the hidden requests,
missed bullet and gem alike,
they now have to wait months
to get access to.
Haunted by these assignments that
could have been, or perhaps
mourning the gaming attempt that
went awry, coalies tell themselves
that they will get started on their
assignment right away so that they can
treat to their hearts content and
restore happiness to the Yuletide galaxy....
Assignments out: between 26 & 28 October

(Anonymous) 2020-10-29 11:00 am (UTC)(link)Almostnectarine: Likes many of the same things I do, and a couple of those prompts grabbed hold of me so hard that, even not knowing canon, I wanted to pick up my notebook and start jotting down ideas.
Pendrecarc: Interesting character requests, and very clear on what this person would enjoy. I also appreciate the clarification of the infidelity DNW. If I knew the canon well and had time for research, I think I could write the longfic of this person's dreams.
vinebridge Not much here, but ethical dilemmas and displays of deep trust are two of my favorite things, so I might very well write a treat for this person.
Cienna: A little disappointing when the letter doesn't provide more, and I found myself oddly defensive of Diana. Fine for an assignment, but I don't think I would treat.
Attheborder: I'd be fine with this as an assignment, but nothing excited me enough to treat.
tabi_jeff They ship two married men and have a listed DNW for infidelity. I'm sure I could resolve this with a mod inquiry, but probably wouldn't bother for a treat.
Gracierocket: Clear request, easy to write, and 100% not my thing.
wildlives: Letter has no extra details EXCEPT the DNWs they left out of the sign-up. Eeep. Similar to Gracierocket, they are clear that they want some happy fluff for their faves. I'm just not into writing that kind of thing.
Tibby: Generic requests, locked letter.
Ailcia: No details, no treat.
Ingreatwaters: If this were my assignment, it would make me neurotic. I'm 90% sure this is an Any request, but they weren't clear about it. The structure of x but not x, unless you like x is driving me mad. They're not shippy, except for Stephen/Diana, but they don't think it will end well, and if you agree don't write it? *cries* And then not listing DNW because there are so many things they DNW and they wouldn't want anyone to think, by leaving off a DNW, that they want that thing? It's a shame - the 4th paragraph about what they love about the canon made me want to write for them! But there's no way I would risk writing a treat for this person. In fact, I might default on an assignment, just to save myself the stress.
