Nah. If the gift is good, it gets all the attention. If the gift is bad and there's no treat, it still doesn't make me pay any more attention to the bad gift; I'll just shrug and move on to non-exchange fic instead.

If your recipients are regularly ignoring your gifts in favour for treats, it just means you need to write better gifts.
