I am mentally ill as well, and yes, you're probably too sensitive, but in a way I can sympathize and understand. Lord knows, I've had some weird language related pet peeves due to my mental illness. Also, as long as you don't claim to speak for all mentally ill people and start a campaign of wanky proportions to change the name, I think there's nothing wrong with expressing your opinion.
