Depends on who you ask!
Some people are less interested in the canon love interest and the broadening of scope/character focus over the course of the series. I enjoyed the most recent installment as much as the earlier books, personally, and while I’ve enjoyed some individual books more or less than others, I haven’t noticed any real trends, just some ups and downs as with any series.
