Exactly. There's a good chance that even DNWing those things that most of us don't feel we should have to list isn't going to stop that one asshole who wants to write it anyway. We see people violate DNWs every single year.

Though I would say if a lot of the stories that exist in a fandom contain something you don't want, like racekink, I'd DNW that if I requested it to be on the safe side. Each fandom kind of has its own temperature, so it's good to look at that.
