I take serious issue with the fact that they are saying Thrawn is acceptable, but "Queen's Shadow" isn't when the reasons they give for not allowing "Queen's Shadow" are the same things that could be said about Thrawn.

Either both should be in or both should be out.

Are they both equally part of the main continuity? I thought Thrawn was a spin-off.

Thrawn now has a new trilogy (also written by Timothy Zahn) in the new continuity AND appeared as a main reoccurring character on the last 2 seasons of Rebels.

Oh. Interesting. Thanks, coalie!

Wouldn't that mean the old trilogy is OK but the new trilogy isn't?

Number of films featuring Thrawn: still zero.

Main medium Star Wars is: films.

Doesn't Thrawn belong to a different timeline, while Queen's Shadow is part of what's considered canon these days?

The old trilogy and duology are Legends and out of continuity. The new series are part of canon.
