This is Yuletide, everybody make a scene

I am the sock with the tear-away face
Low-effort with your gift and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who does an exchange without acknowledging their gift?"
I am the wanker blowing through your fics comments
I am the coalie dragging your letter at night
Filling your exchange to the brim with fright!

This is Coaltide!

LOL, coalie! But ITA with your points. Nonnie above may have an inferiority complex about other mods with coding skills? IDK. Weird, though.

OK, what exactly are the coding skills people seem to think were needed to mod exchanges before AO3? Cos running exchanges on lj the closest I ever got to coding was html formatting the comm posts, and that's so basic I wouldn't call it IT skills.

You'll find elsewhere in this mess of a thread that that is exactly what they mean by IT skills, along with being able to answer emails.

NA and I think they're mostly talking about modding pre-AO3 exchanges which involved scripts/coding, not small exchanges from LJ which were hand-matched without any coding etc.
