CYRT. I admit I have no idea who either of those people are but I suspect there are more rep-ruining hackers out there in fandom than genuine crazies who have a long history of basically nothing but bad behavior who have the smarts to then turn around and claim "a hacker did it!" Most of the rep-ruining hackers I've come across and heard about in 20+ years of being in fandom are incredibly good at what they do.

Tell us more about these rep-ruining hackers! You sound like you have a lot of good stories up your sleeve. How did you find out about them if they were so slick? Don't tease about the good gossip.

DA. Here's some "gossip" for you as you clearly find people's suffering entertaining. I had to start a new fandom identity more than fifteen years ago after a number of people in my then-primary fandom became convinced I was a horrible person. My access to everything was cut off and they wouldn't answer my questions so I never could figure out why their opinion of me changed. About five years later, I finally heard about what had caused me to be banned and it hit me so hard it took me days to realize the only thing that explained it was that I'd been hacked. I still have no idea who did it or why.
